A statewide community of women climbers. We run meet-ups, teach skills, and look after the places we climb.
Why we exist
Three things, done properly.
Women Climbing Alaska builds a skilled, welcoming community of women climbers across the state — through meet-ups, education, and service. The point is simple: make Alaska a place climbers want to stay.

Meet-ups
Show up and climb with people. Gear swaps, crag days, gym nights. No application, no dues, no experience minimum.

Education
Skills that let you lead your own day: anchors, rescue, avalanche awareness, glacier travel. We post clinics here once they are real.
03
Service
Crags need maintenance and access needs defending. We organise stewardship days and turn up for the places we climb.
Alaska is the reason and the problem. It is a long way to anywhere with a partner.

Shirts, stickers, and prints of L. Falley’s drawings turn up at meet-ups. There is no online store yet, so the table at an event is the place — or send us a message on Instagram.
Nonprofit status
No donate button yet.
Our 501(c)(3) application is filed with the IRS. We expect a determination around March.
Until it lands there is no donate button and nothing for sale online. We would rather wait than take money we cannot receipt properly. If you want to help now: come to a meet-up, staff a table, or teach something.
